Bought France in 90s. Stored on side in cool darkness since purchase. The foil is intact and there is no trace of leakage/stickinesss. Clearly, though, deterioration in ullage is evident. Liquid effervescent still. Liquid clear until shaken, whereupon wisps of smoke emerge from bottom of bottle.
