Description

Youthful crimson. Well-knit, rosy nose. More evolved than many and very rich yet structured. Reminds me a little of the wonderful 1986. You can see Australia here but with great finesse. Super clean.

The opaque ruby/purple-colored 1995 Shiraz Hill of Grace (along with Penfolds’ Grange, one of the most famous Shiraz of Australia) boasts abundant quantities of toasty American oak, fat, blackberry, tar-infused fruit flavors, a deep, unctuous texture, and a powerful, concentrated, long finish. This renowned Shiraz is indeed all it should be for its lofty price tag. It should drink well for 15-20 years.Robert Parker 92/100 points

In a country full of spectacular single vineyard shiraz wines, Steven Henschke’s signature wine from this individual Eden Valley vineyard has consistently been the best and most important.
