Château Montrose is a leading estate of the Saint-Estèphe commune in Bordeaux. It was ranked as a second growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, and is regarded as one of the very best properties at that level.

"I like the aromas of currant, berry and fresh herbs. Full-bodied, firm and chewy, with a slightly dry tannin structure, like many 1975s, but gorgeous fruit and clarity in this wine. Very good despite the hardness."
Slight stain on label and oxidized on capsule top but only on the surface.
